We are pleased to announce the MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2014 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts.  We will be providing educators from across the Commonwealth with exciting ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.

Security for your Devices

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Kaspersky Endpoint Security provides several layers of protection, management, and control all from a single administration interface.  In this session we are going to go over several ways that we can improve not just your protection, but control over the endpoints in your infrastructure.  We will discuss several strategies that you can use in order to accomplish this.  The Default Deny method is a great example of this.  By using Application Controls we can effectively limit an end users ability to install or execute objects.  With Our Device Controls we can help secure ports on computers by controlling access to certain devices or permissions to read or write to or from them.  With the use of Web Control we can filter out access to unwanted websites, no matter where the endpoint is.  Another great tool within Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Business is the ability to patch Microsoft and Third Party applications.  We will be talking about using this properly to keep your environments safe from exploitation and vulnerabilities, but it also comes in handy when there is a need to keep specific applications such as adobe applications and java up to date for other software to function correctly.
