We are pleased to announce the MassCUE and M.A.S.S. 2014 Annual Technology Conference, co-sponsored by the Massachusetts Computer Using Educators (MassCUE) and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents (M.A.S.S.). Both organizations recognize the benefits of a collaborative partnership that focuses on the collective interests of our school districts.  We will be providing educators from across the Commonwealth with exciting ways to enhance teaching and learning with technology.

The Arctic Unit: Genrating a Global Community

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

How does a local elementary class create a global community using 21st Century Skills and tools?  Come join us as we embark on a Google Lit Trip following the story of a polar bear migrating to the Hudson Bay through the town of Churchill, Manitoba located in northern Canada.  See how technology can be seamlessly integrated into this Arctic Unit of study, with the development of Voicethreads to share information across the miles (or kilometers) with elementary students in Churchill and how the unit culminates in an incredible sharing of face to face conversations using Skype.
